Wednesday was the day that Kyle shared the gospel with the children at VBS. He did it in such a way as to not put pressure on the children to pray right then. He wanted to explain the gospel and then have the children raise their hands if they wanted to pray with someone about beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ.
With our morning church there were three children from our 8 and 9 year old group who raised their hand. Bri, my partner in crime, led two little boys to the Lord that morning. I had the joy of leading another little girl to the Lord. In our afternoon church a student from Kyle and Josie’s group (10-13 year olds) raised their hand and later prayed to receive Christ with Josie. It was an amazing day!
Later that night I realized I had 4 new brothers and sisters in Christ. That may not seem like a lot to most people (after all there were 10 of us there), but I think each life is more valuable than anything purchased on earth. These are souls saved from eternal separation from God. ETERNAL! That’s FOREVER!!! These four precious children will begin their lives walking with Jesus and who knows what they will do with it. I hope they will become bold evangelists. I hope they will become pastors, fathers, mothers, teachers, anything that will lead them closer to God.
Four may not seem like a lot, but to me Devon, Shaday, and Kahlil were three of the reasons we went to St. Vincent.
